Autorocha hereby informs its customers that on 08 January 2023 came into force a new decree-law, Decree-Law No. 84-C/2022 of 09 December.

This decree-law requires all rent-a-cars to equip their entire fleet with an automatic toll payment device (Via Verde device).

Thus, when customers hire a vehicle, they automatically subscribe to the Via Verde toll service. With the automatic adherence, even if the customer expresses that he will not use the service, the company is entitled to charge the amount due, together with the administrative costs incurred, whenever there is use of the service by the customer. The administrative costs are fixed by order of the member of the Government responsible for the area of infrastructures.

Having said this, Autorocha will ask for a credit card deposit of 100€. This deposit will be returned in full if the toll service is not used. If the toll service is used, the deposit will be returned minus the difference of the toll amount due plus administrative costs.
